CLI
Create and manage Appo apps from the terminal with @appolabs/appo.
The Appo CLI (@appolabs/appo) creates and manages native Appo apps from the
terminal or a CI pipeline, at parity with the dashboard. It is a thin,
dependency-free Node client over the Appo public API.
For the JavaScript bridge inside your app, see the SDK. To drive the same outcomes from an AI assistant, see the MCP server.
Install
npm install -g @appolabs/appoRequires Node 18 or newer. After install the appo command is on your PATH:
appo --versionFirst run
appo init bootstraps the configuration and runs the first login:
appo initAuthentication uses the browser device flow: the CLI prints a link and a code,
you approve it in the dashboard, and the token is stored in your local profile
(~/.appo/config.json). For CI and non-interactive contexts, pass a personal
access token instead:
appo login --token <pat>In non-interactive contexts you can also set the APPO_TOKEN environment variable; it takes precedence over the stored profile token.
appo whoami shows the active environment and API at any time.
